Operates and inspects station auxiliary systems — compressed air, cooling towers, water intake, and medium-voltage switchboards.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate instrument air compressors and dryers; drain condensate traps.
- Inspect cooling towers, fan drives, and manage blowdown to control cycle concentration.
- Inspect water intake pump houses, screens, and chlorination skids.
- Operate auxiliary switchgear as SBO, racking breakers per control room instructions.
- Run periodic DG set no-load/on-load test sequences.
- Provide physical line and switchgear isolations for maintenance permits.
Technical skills: Compressed air systems, cooling towers, switchboard switching procedures.
Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 2-5 years in BOP operations or switchboard monitoring.
Qualification: Diploma ITI / Experience
