Jr Chemist cum Operator

Monitors and controls water and steam cycle chemistry, coal quality testing, and laboratory analysis to protect boiler and turbine metallurgy.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct daily lab analysis of feedwater, boiler water, and condensate samples.
- Perform coal quality testing — calorific value, moisture, ash, and sulphur content.
- Monitor cycle chemistry limits (pH, dissolved oxygen, silica, conductivity).
- Investigate chemistry excursions and recommend dosing corrections.
- Maintain lab equipment calibration and chemical reagent inventory.
- Prepare daily/monthly chemistry and coal-quality reports for management.
Technical skills: Wet chemical analysis, spectrophotometry, coal bomb calorimetry, cycle chemistry standards.
Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, B.Tech Chemical Engineering, or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 3-8 years in power plant or industrial chemical laboratories.
Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc
