1st Class Boiler Operator

Conducts physical field inspections, local valve operations, and auxiliary equipment monitoring across the boiler house to support safe, efficient steam generation.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspect ID/FD/PA fans, mills, feed pumps, and air preheaters across boiler elevations.
- Report oil/steam/flue gas leaks, unusual noise, or bearing overheating to the DCS desk.
- Operate manual valves for drum filling, blowdown, soot blowers, and steam warming.
- Assist DCS operators with equipment changeovers (pumps, fans, compressors).
- Clear coal chute blockages and check mill reject systems.
- Carry out field isolations to support permit-to-work processes.
Technical skills: Boiler operating principles, valve operation, gauge reading, emergency stop procedures.
Education: ITI/Diploma Mechanical; Boiler Attendant Competency Certificate where statutory.
Experience: 3-6 years field operations around boilers.
Qualification: ITI / 10th with 1st or 2nd Class certificate
